TYPES OF DENTAL CROWN




Dental crown are fixed one which placed directly on existing teeth or implants.
  • CERAMIC CROWN:

    • Used to restore front teeth due to its color, it easily blend with remaining natural teeth.
    • It is brittle when exposed to heavy forces. So that it not used as back teeth crown.
  • PORCELAIN FUSED METAL CROWN:

    • Porcelain part is outside which look like natural teeth and metal part is inside which withstand heavy biting forces. 
    • So that it used in both front and back teeth region.
  • GOLD  ALLOY CROWN:

    • It contain gold, copper and other metals.
    • This type of crown is strong and not fractured.
    • Will not wear from underlying teeth.
    • Bio compatible with gum tissues.
  • BASE METAL ALLOY CROWN:

    • It resistance to corrosion and incredibly strong
    • It support the tooth with large filling.
    • It contain non noble metals.
